Hearing Instrument Specialist

Hello, I’m Tim Hammers, a Hearing Instrument Specialist for Audibel and Hammers Hearing. I’d like to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself and to explain why hearing health care is so important to me. I’ve lived in the Illinois Valley area for most of my life, having moved here when I was about 10 years old from Southern Illinois. At North Central College, while receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, I played outside linebacker for the football team. I don’t get to play football too often these days, but I do stay active by playing golf and softball, as well as being part of a bowling league. I very recently married the love of my life, Christa, and we purchased our first home together in Dalzell, IL.

Hearing health has been an important part of my life since I can remember. My dad, Gary Hammers, would always tell stories about his patients who heard birds chirping for the first time or those who would get to truly hear their grandchildren’s laughs. Seeing the gratification my dad received from helping his patients regain their hearing, I knew I wanted to be part of the family practice. I became a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist about 15 years ago, and have been practicing full time for a little over 10 years. ‘Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life’, I strongly believe that, and sincerely enjoy coming into the office everyday. I want to thank you for taking the first step to better hearing and choosing Audibel and Hammers Hearing. I look forward to getting to know you better.

Tricia Mudge, HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Hello, my name is Tricia Hammers-Mudge. I have been a Hearing Instrument Specialist with Hammers Hearing for 14 years. I live in LaSalle with my husband, Kyle, and my two children, Molly and Dugan. I have been involved in the hearing health care practice for most of my life, as my father, Gary Hammers, started fitting hearing aids over 30 years ago. I have had the opportunity to watch first hand how the advancements in technology has changed people’s way of living. Our motto is, and always will be, “We are always HEAR for you!”.

What I love most about my job is the relationships I am able to build with each of my patients, each one unique and important to me. We are a family owned and operated office, who value the presence and feedback of your family and friends. During your appointment with me, I will give you a thorough, step by step explanation of what to expect during and after your visit. I will be able to answer any questions you may have when it comes to your hearing health care needs. I would like to personally thank you for choosing Audibel and Hammers Hearing, and I am excited to get to know you and to help you achieve better hearing.

Doug Suarez, HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Hi, my name is Doug Suarez. For the last eight years I have been a Hearing Instrument Specialist with Audibel and Hammers Hearing. I was born and raised in Peru, IL and currently live in Peru with my wife, Breanne, and young son, Greyson. My family and I hold a great importance on community and family, as they have owned and operated Koolmaster Co, Inc for over 60 years, and after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University, I knew I wanted to work somewhere that held the same values and beliefs as my family and I. Having known the Hammers family since high school, I knew they were a family I wanted to work with, and that is when I found my passion in helping people to achieve better hearing. Being able to reconnect people with the world around them is not only a fulfilling career, but it is also life changing.

Not only do I love the relationships that I am able to build with my patients, but I love getting to see, first hand, their reactions to sounds that they have not heard in a very long time, if ever. By taking the first step and choosing Audibel and Hammers Hearing, you are choosing an extended family, a lifetime of support and service, and most importantly a better way of living. I thank you for choosing us, and I look forward to educating you about the importance of your hearing health, and learning along side you about your hearing loss and to help you start hearing all those sounds that you’ve been missing.

I accompanied a friend with an appointment, and he checked and cleaned my hearing aids (mine from a mail order). He gave me a brush to clean mine. I will definitely go back next spring.

I am from CA visiting family and could not get my hearing aids adjusted. I went in without an appointment and Doug got everything corrected on them. I would recommend this place. Every Highly.
